ABOUT US

The Black Nurses Rock Foundation was born out of a deep desire to celebrate, empower, and elevate Black nurses in their vital contributions to healthcare. Founded by passionate nurse leaders who recognized the need for a dedicated platform, the Foundation was established to honor the legacy, resilience, and excellence of Black nurses while paving the way for future generations. Black Nurses Rock Orlando became the tenth chapter to be chartered with the organization.

For decades, Black nurses have been at the forefront of healthcare, often overcoming systemic barriers to provide compassionate, skilled, and lifesaving care. Despite these contributions, their stories have often gone untold, and their voices unheard. The Black Nurses Foundation seeks to change that narrative by fostering a community that supports, uplifts, and invests in all nurses, no matter your color, ethnicity, or race. We strive to represent Central Florida communities by being diverse and inclusive.

• To inspire and support nurses through scholarships, mentorship, and professional development.

• To amplify the voices of nurses by sharing their stories and highlighting their impact on healthcare.

• To advocate for diversity and equity in nursing, ensuring that every nurse has the opportunity to thrive in an inclusive environment.
